(SPENCER COUNTY) - State police from the Jasper District want to know who was fooling around with a backhoe and bulldozer at a jobsite, and ended up damaging both the equipment and water pipes being laid.
State Police Sgt. Chad Dick says the ignitions of both a Case backhoe and Case bulldozer had been broken, and both machines were damaged by what happened next with them.
The dash panel had been broken on the backhoe, but the bulldozer was used to move and break water pipes on the site, and then the suspect apparently set it rolling toward a wooded area and creek and jumped out.
The bulldozer hit a tree and dug itself in, but missed the creek.
If you have info on this incident, state police ask that you call them at (800) 742-7475.
