(MARTINSVILLE) - Guns were drawn, and 4 people were arrested after a fight broke out…at a funeral.
The Martinsville Reporter-Times reports a fight broke out at the funeral of Jeff Gary, whose services were being conducted at the Costin Funeral Chapel on Martinsville's East Washington Street.
The scuffle reportedly began when Gary's ex-wife and members of her family arrived to observe services. In the end, two men and two women were arrested and more arrests may come before all is said and done.
What's more, three handguns were recovered from people involved, none of which had been fired. The paper reports one gun was handed to the funeral home's owner, Kenneth Costin, shortly after the fight started.
He reportedly made a quick pass of the weapon to one of his employees.
