(STATEHOUSE) - The presidents of Purdue and Indiana Universities continue to stress the partnership created by the proposed Indiana Innovation Alliance that would serve as a magnet for investment in the state’s burgeoning life sciences sector.
Indiana University's Michael McRobbie and Purdue's France Cordova made their pitches for the alliance Monday before the Senate Appropriations Committee.
The universities are proposing the legislature provide $35 million to fund the alliance in each year of the 2009-2011 biennial state budget.
