Last updated on Friday, March 13, 2009

(NEWBERRY) - Indiana State Police from the Bloomington District are seeking help in the search for a 16-year-old Greene County girl that turned up missing this week.

State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil says 16-year-old Danielle Renae Blackmore of Newberry was last seen early Wednesday morning when she told her mother she was going to spend the night at a friend's house.

She never showed up and never called, and yesterday afternoon she was reported missing. State police believe she is in the company of 19-year-old George da Shake of Indianapolis, and the pair may be in Danielle's car, a 2001 white Pontiac Grand Prix with license plate NJ897.

Blackmore is described as 5'1", 162 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. Da Shake is described as 6'1", 195 pounds brown hair and brown eyes.

Update 3/13/2009 7:15am: State police say the pair may have been spotted in Boone, Tennessee, and her mother is headed down to check. Blackmore will remain on the missing persons list until she is returned home.
