(INDIANAPOLIS) - It’s back home again in Indiana for Miss America 2009 Katie Stam, but it’s a homecoming with a rigorous schedule.
Her homecoming began with a parade in her hometown of Seymour Wednesday. Thursday includes an appearance with Governor Mitch Daniels teaching 6th grades about fitness and health and a stop at the University of Indianapolis where Katie will be welcomed by her fellow classmates.
Katie will crown Miss Central Indiana Megan Meadors as the new Miss Indiana in Zionsville on Friday, home to the Miss Indiana scholarship program. Monday will be Katie's first opportunity to meet the Hoosier public with a meet and greet in the food court at Circle Centre Mall in Indianapolis.
