(CRAWFORD COUNTY) - Apparent engine problems are being blamed for a semi that caught fire and shut down Interstate 64 in Crawford County, yesterday afternoon.
State Police Jasper say a tractor trailer being driven by Ronald McAlister of Portsmith, Ohio was heading east on I-64 when he heard a strange noise come from the engine compartment.
When McAlister pulled the truck over, the engine compartment caught fire, and eventually the entire tractor was a total loss, however, the trailer only suffered minor damage.
The truck was hauling a load of computer equipment for Accurate Transportation out of Groveport, Ohio.
