(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington technophiles who are the victims of minor crimes can rejoice…kinda.
The City of Bloomington has established an online crime reporting system for people experiencing problems such as vandalism, lost property, or thefts of items worth less than $750.
Bloomington's Capt. Joe Qualters says, however, this online system is not a replacement for reporting larger crimes or for 911 emergency services. This is primarily for use in crimes where there is no known suspect, or problems that need an immediate police or other emergency response.
This is more for problems that are being reported just so police are aware of a problem occurring in an area, or being reported mainly for insurance purposes.
