(CRANE) - A woman had to be airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a severe one-car wreck near the Crane naval base gate early yesterday morning.
The Greene County Daily World reports 27-year-old Sarah Leeds of Tayors, South Carolina, though apparently a Bloomfield native, ran off IN-45 near the Crane Bloomington gate, hit an embankment and literally rolled up a tree, causing her Honda's roof, dash and door to collapse onto her.
Leeds reportedly suffered injuries to her head and shoulder as well as internal injuries, and was taken by ambulance to the Center Township Fire Department helipad, from which she was lifted to Methodist.
She remains there, according to the paper, in critical condition.
