(BLOOMINGTON) - A sobriety checkpoint Friday in Monroe County resulted in 3 OWI arrests in 2 hours.
State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil from the Bloomington Post says each vehicle check took just a minute and change, and resulted in a further 17 traffic citations and 2 criminal arrests, one a misdemeanor, one a felony.
Of the three drunk driving arrests, two were misdemeanors and one was a felony.
In all, 87 vehicles passed through the checkpoint in the 2-hour time span Friday night.
