(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - An attempt to avoid hitting a deer sent an Orleans teen’s car airborne and end over end.
Lawrence County police reports say 18-year-old Jovan Frank of Orleans was headed south on IN-37 about a half mile north of Dillon Road when a deer walked into his path.
Reports say Frank swerved to miss the deer, but ended up running off the road, hitting an embankment, launching his car end over end and landing on its driver's side.
Frank was taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital complaining of head pain, and no citations were issued.
