(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police detectives are investigating an arson case near downtown from a fire early yesterday morning.
The Bloomington Herald Times reports a BPD officer was driving along Washington Avenue when he noticed a fire at a construction site on the 300 block south.
The officer then noticed someone running through the nearby Third Street Park.
Police say an orange plastic construction fence was set on fire and crews were able to put it out okay, but they were unable to catch the man the officer say running.
Police say the only description they could give is that he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
