(BLOOMINGTON) - It seems not all economic news for the area is bad. Forbes magazine says the City of Bloomington was rated, again, in their top-five small cities for business and careers.
Although Bloomington slipped one slot from #3 to #4, that still keeps the home of Indiana University in a good place in terms of marketing South Central Indiana to business interests. Two factors weighed in the highest for the campus town, those being its highly-educated workforce, and its relatively low cost of business.
Bloomington isn't the only city in Indiana ranked highly, though, as Lafayette, Indiana came in at #8.
The cities ranked higher than Bloomington, in order, are sioux Falls, South Dakota, Greenville, North Carolina, and Morgantown, West Virginia, with Missouri Tigers' home Columbia, Missouri rounding out the top 5.
