(BEDFORD) - A Bedford police officer suffered minor injuries when his squad car was T-boned near downtown yesterday.
However, that wasn't the biggest problem, what was bigger was when Officer Jim Lindsey tried to radio back to the department to let them know about the wreck and that he needed help, and the radios didn't work!
Bedford police reports say 41-year-old Angela Lawson of Bedford was on her cell phone when she ran through the stop sign north bound on I Street at 17th, striking Officer Lindsey's police cruiser's passenger side, banging his knees up.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News after being checked over, Lindsey is fine and will be back on duty.
His police cruiser took a bit of a cosmetic beating.
However, Lawson wasn't injured and both vehicles were still drivable.
