(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus woman who scammed bank customers into cashing fake checks and giving her the money has avoided jail time.
34-year-old Tiffany Newhouse was sentenced Tuesday to an eight-year suspended prison term.
She will spend six of those years on probation after being found guilty of fraud on a financial institution and forgery.
