(BLOOMINGTON) - A pet shop owner from Bloomington is backing president Barack Obama’s proposed budget, saying passage would allow her to provide health insurance for her employees.
Delilah Pet Shop owner Karene Kidwell has struggled to compete with larger companies during her 20 years as a small business owner.
She says it costs her 30% more than a larger company to provide health insurance.
Kidwell believes Obama's plan would reform the system by pumping up to $65 billion into it.
14,000 Americans lose their health insurance every day.
