(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County coroner, after yesterday’s autopsy, says the Lawrence County teen who died in the White River did, indeed, die of drowning.
The Lawrence County Coroner's Office says they are sending off toxicology screens, but that it doesn't look like alcohol or drugs were a contributory factor in the death of 18-year-old Aden Taylor Sunday afternoon.
Indiana DNR officials say Taylor jumped into the river to cool off while mushroom hunting south of Salt Creek and near the Bedford Boat Club, and was overcome by the cold water and swift moving current.
Taylor's body was pulled Sunday afternoon from about 12 feet of water, almost 2 hours after his friend called 911.
