(BEDFORD) - A fight call in Bedford late last night ended better than some thought it would have.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News officers were called to the 200 block of Mt. Pleasant Road after 11:00pm last night, with some nearby residents believing they heard gunshots.
Parsley says they arrived and found 30-year-old Sammy Sierra of Bedford at his parents' home sitting in a car, visibly intoxicated after what was reported as a physical fight.
Since it was all family involved, they didn't press battery charges, however, Sierra was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest by force as he reportedly fought police when they pulled him out of the car.
The gunshot sounds came, Parsley says, from his allegedly breaking car windows and otherwise damaging the vehicle he was found sitting in when officers arrived.
