(GREENE COUNTY) - A Vincennes University freshman and Greene County political family legacy has started cutting his own teeth in the political arena.
The Greene County Daily World reports 19-year-old Jathan Wright, grandson of former Linton mayor and Greene County Democratic Party chairman Jimmie Wright, was recently elected to the head the Indiana 8th District Young Democrats, and already has his first speaking engagement booked alongside former Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson.
Wright will be speaking at the Owen County Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.
Then, when he heads back to school in Vincennes, he will be working on, what else, his political science degree.
