(HELTONVILLE) - Indiana State Police took a Heltonville man into custody for burglary charges after a man called in reporting a jug full of coins was taken from his home.
State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil says an investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Douglas Combs of Heltonville, alleging he took a 6-gallon jug full of half-dollar and dollar coins.
A further investigation revealed he had burglarized the residence two other times as well.
Combs was taken to the Lawrence County jail Friday charged with 3 counts of burglary, 3 counts of theft, and 3 counts of residential entry, all felonies.
