(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University police detectives are investigating the report of gunshots at one of the campus parking lots from early yesterday morning.
IUPD Captain Jerry Minger says police were directing traffic out of the Indiana Memorial Union after a fight was reported at a dance going on there. While police were herding people out of the lot, several gunshots were heard from IU's pay lot #2, and at least 10 officers responded.
Police say they found 5 9mm casings and two .45 Auto casings, but found no injuries or even property damage from where the bullets would have struck, and, furthermore, found no one who could give any usable information the incident.
Right now, there are no suspects or witnesses identified, and IU police ask anyone with information on the incident to call them at (812) 855-4111.
