(BROWNSTOWN) - A former rural Jackson County fire chief has been sentenced to spend the next 3 years of his life behind bars, and to repay more than $28,000 of the $38,000 worth of materials he was convicted of stealing.
The Seymour Tribune reports former Carr Township Fire Chief 41-year-old Todd Snodgrass was given the 3-year sentence, and an order to repay his debt at a rate of no less than $250 per month, for misappropriating the funds from the fire department's accounts.
The department already recovered $10,000 from their employee dishonesty insurance coverage.
