(UNDATED) - A complaint made by a bank in Morgan County wound up with 22 charges being filed against an Indianapolis man.
State police in Putnamville are reporting 36-year-old Leondo Harris of Indy would allegedly hand checks to 3rd parties to cash and would give the other person a portion of the cash from the forged checks.
In all, 42 checks worth about $40,000 were found during the investigation.
Between Hendricks and Morgan Counties, Harris is facing 14 counts of forgery, 6 counts of theft, and 1 count each of fraud and counterfeiting.
Harris was lodged in the Hendricks County jail.
