(GREENE COUNTY) - A Spencer man is in the Greene County jail after an attempt to miss a deer on the road resulted in his arrest for drunk driving.
Greene County Sheriff's reports say 46-year-old Charles Parker of Spencer was heading east on CR790 North last night when a deer ran in front of him.
Parker says he swerved, ran off the south side of the roadway, came back across and hit a ditch off the north side. Parker was okay, but when police arrived they noticed he had been drinking.
Officers say parker failed two of three field sobriety tests and blew a .10 BAC.
Parker was ultimately charged with felony drunk driving as he had been arrested for the same 3 years ago.
