(BLOOMINGTON) - The widower of the Monroe County deputy struck and killed at an accident scene last year is now suing the sheriff’s department’s insurance carrier.
The Bloomington Herald Times reports Christopher Jones, widower of Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Sarah Jones, has already received the maximum $50,000 from the insurance policy of Bree Myers, the Monroe County teenager who struck and killed Jones.
The Monroe County department's insurance carrier provides a $1 million dollar under-insured motorist amount, but Jones says his wife should also be covered by the liability policy and the department's $4 million umbrella policy.
The lawsuit is intended to get that claim clarified.
