(ELLETTSVILLE) - An Ellettsville man is facing multiple charges of rape after police say he not only raped a woman, but caused serious injuries.
Sgt. Curt Durnil of the State Police Bloomington Post says 33-year-old Jamie Scott Weddle of Ellettsville is facing 2 counts of rape, 2 counts of criminal confinement, and one count each of aggravated battery and criminal deviate conduct, all felonies.
Durnil says the severity of the victim's injuries caused police to increase the severity of the charges against the man, but he was picked up by police and taken to Monroe County jail without incident.
Police say the incident happened at Weddle's home.
