(GREENE CO.) - A nude rural Bloomfield man led police officers on short chase in the New Hope area of Northeastern Greene County Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report in the Greene County Daily World, Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a domestic call about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the residence of Jeffery Miller.
When Miller saw the deputies arrive at his house, he fled the scene immediately.
Miller then led the officers on a chase down a county road for three to five miles before he attempted to drive "off road" into a field.
Miller's vehicle became stuck on a hill, and when he attempted to put it in four-wheel drive the vehicle rolled backwards into the front end of a Greene County SUV police cruiser.
Miller was taken into protective custody and then transported by Greene County Ambulance to the Bloomington Stress Center for an evaluation, and officers also noted that Miller was nude when he was taken into custody.
