(BLOOMFIELD) - A high-speed car crash on a county road in Center Township in eastern Greene County claimed the life of 23-year-old Bloomfield man on Sunday evening.
According to a report in the Greene County Daily World, Seth Lavender suffered massive internal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Dave Rollison.
According to information released from the sheriff's department, Lavender was southbound on County Road 1100 East in a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier when he lost control of the car and deputies reported that witnesses said the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed then lost control.
The car started to slide then rolled over multiple times, then struck a power pole, then landed on its left side.
The driver was partially ejected from the vehicle.
