On Pinhook Road yesterday afternoon two people were driving in there car, the driver talking on a cell phone heading eastbound.
The driver dropped her cell phone on the floor of the vehicle and bent down to pick it up when she ran off of the road and struck a tree.
Luckily neither the driver nor the passengers were injured.
There are currently no Indiana laws against the use of a cell phone while driving.
However, there is a bill that, if passed, might prohibit the use of cell phones without hands-free devices by drivers who are less than 18 years old.
