(GREENE COUNTY) - Officers in Greene County were called to Crossroads Cafe for a reported burglary.
When they arrived they determined that someone had broken in the front door and stolen numerous packs of cigarettes.
Three hours after leaving the scene they were in route somewhere else when they spotted a man with a white bag hitchhiking along the side of the road.
When they stopped next to the man, the man fled into the woods.
Both officers chased after them and eventually managed to close in on him.
They located the white bag sometime later which contained several packs of cigarettes and several other items related to the earlier burglary.
The man was charged with Criminal Mischief, Resisting Law-Enforcement, and burglary.
