(ORANGE COUNTY) - On Tuesday while over 50 firefighter were out at the VFW building in Paoli fighting the blaze; Hoosier Hills Chapter of American Red Cross crews were by their side providing food and drinks.
The canteen service crew was sent as part of the Red Cross's disaster action team, and with the temperature pushing 90 degrees that day, and firemen standing close to a burning building for three hours it is no wonder that the canteen crews were called to assist them.
Arby's restaurant in Mitchell provided over 40 sandwiches and the Paoli Wal-Mart was prepared and ready to donate drinks, plates and cups if it was needed.
Hoosier Hills Chapter of American Red Cross serves Lawrence, Martin, and Orange counties.
