(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - There has been no word yet on whether or not anyone was injured in a car wreck taking place on 50 East early this morning at around 4:54 AM.
Drivers near the Plaza Motel noticed an overturned car that had ran off the road and was lying on top of a group of trees.
As the car rested in the ditch, the Lawrence County's sheriff's department and volunteer fire department arrived at the scene. There was no indication in the police log what the cause of the wreck was nor did it give any indication as to whether or not anyone was injured during the incident.
Jackson County State Highway Patrol was called to the scene to assist with the clean up of the fallen trees in which the car was lying on.
