(LINTON) - A Linton mother charged and sent to jail Saturday for biting her child. Police officials arrived at the house after getting reports of child abuse, apparently from the child’s parent.
Detective Josh Goodman and Officer Debbie McDonald booked Kathryn L. Hauck on a preliminary charge of battery with bodily injury to a minor, a class D felony.
According to police reports when officials arrived at the home they discovered that the child had several different marks on his body including bite marks.
Police officials contacted Indiana Child Protective Services followed by an immediate investigation, which lead to the mother admitting to biting her son.
She was released after posting $4,000 bond Sunday, and is scheduled for an initial hearing in court Wednesday.
