(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - Three people have been arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department in connection with earlier Leatherwood Circle Addition burglaries.
Delbert K. Bowling, Holly Watterson, and Christie Anderson were taken into police custody after once again trying to break into another Leatherwood Circle Addition home early yesterday morning.
At around 1:32 AM a Leatherwood Circle resident spotted the three attempting to break into their neighbor's garage by climbing through its window.
The residents had known about the recent burglaries and had been keeping an eye out on the neighborhood.
The residents called the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, who quickly responded along with the Bedford Police Station. Law enforcement officials located the two females suspects and later the male suspect.
The group had been staying at a Leatherwood Circle residence at the time; the owner of the home where they were staying reportedly did not know of their nightly events.
Holly Waterson and Christie Anderson were arrested for public intoxication. They and Delbert K. Bowling were also charged and arrested for possession of stolen items and attempted burglary.
Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig informed WBIW News that the investigation will continue, and that additional charges will be filed against the group.
All of the items stolen were recovered by police, including several keys and garage door openers.
