(BLOOMFIELD) - State Road 54, a half a mile away from Bloomfield, was closed early Friday evening due to an overturned tri-axle truck hauling rock.
Both lanes of traffic were closed at around 5:10 PM after rock spilt out onto the roadway, surrounding the vehicles.
The truck reportedly ran off of the roadway for a brief moment before the driver turned the wheel in an attempt to remain on the roadway. The truck then overturned and began to slide near oncoming traffic.
The driver of the truck was transported to Bloomington Hospital, with no indication on his condition.
None of the other drivers on the roadway were injured during the incident.
