(BEDFORD, IN) - One Lawrence County resident managed to escape a potentially deadly situation following the help of a stranger last night.
The man was sitting inside a smaller river boat on the White River with his dog, when the engine powering the boat failed to function.
Police received a call from a woman asking for assistance from officials after she heard the yells of the man in the boat screaming for help.
The boat eventually capsized, an unknown man rescued the fisherman from his overturned boat.
One person had to be transported to the hospital for water inhalation.
