(BEDFORD, IN) - An apparent shoplifter lead Bedford Police on a slow-speed police chase yesterday afternoon.
Following a shoplifting from a store on 16th street in Bedford, the 34-year-old man got onto his white moped and fled the scene.
The store employees then called Bedford Police to report the theft, resulting in a police chase throughout the city.
The man on the moped lead police east on 16th Street which eventually becomes US Highway 50 near Shawswick School Road.
When police officials attempted to pass the moped during the chase, the man swerved his vehicle to the right.
He then hit a curb, ejecting him from the vehicle.
