(MITCHELL, IN) - Police officers in Mitchell were called to a residence yesterday afternoon by a worried neighbor of a small Mitchell child.
The 3-year-old toddler was out in the middle of the street riding a small toy when the call was received.
The neighbor informed officials that the boys mother was asleep inside the residence when the boy wondered into the roadway.
The child was removed from the roadway by police and the concerned neighbor; the incident was forwarded to Child Protective Services.
