(BEDFORD, IN) - If you live in the Bedford area, you are most likely familiar with the tradition of hearing the city’s tornado sirens every Friday at noon.
However today may seem a bit different.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, the sirens are going to be tested and repaired from noon today until 1:00PM.
The sirens may sound multiple times today and Chief Parsley wants citizens to know that when they hear the sirens multiple times today that there is not any significant danger in connection with the alarms.
If weather should get bad at noon today, which is not on the forecast, then the testing will not occur.
