(ORLEANS, IN) - Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman awarded the town of Orleans a $45,000 planning grant to fund a preliminary architectural study of a vacant building.
The study of the building is to help determine if it could possibly be renovated for use as a community center.
Lieutenant Governor Skillman stated "I'm pleased to award this grant to Orleans. It's exciting to partner with you, and to recognize your commitment to your community."
Speaking about the Small Cities an Towns Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Skillman stated that, "planning grants are invaluable tools that can help rural communities improve the quality of life for their residents."
