(BEDFORD) - Several storms rolled through the area this morning, bringing lots of lightning, heavy rain and even some hail to the listen area.
The first wave of storms came through the Bedford area just after four o'clock this morning.
Very intense and numerous lightning flashes were seen well before the storm actually started to produce rain and high winds.
Storms continue to pop up around the listening area this morning and a major cell of severe storms is developing to the west and is expected to bring scattered storms and a chance for severe storms to the listening area later today.
And as a reminder, if a severe storm capable of producing a tornado is in your area the best place to take shelter is in the lowest level of the house or building you are in.
If there is no basement, then go to a room in the center of the structure that is away from windows and take shelter under something sturdy.
