(BEDFORD, IN) - The preliminary autopsy results for 35-year-old Jason Lee Joy, the victim of a shooting taking place Wednesday afternoon, have been released.
According to John Sherrill, Lawrence County Coroner, Joy died as a result as a result of several gunshot wounds.
Jason Joy was shot eight times by 38-year-old Susan Renee May. May has been charged with the murder in connection to the shooting.
According to Sherrill, Joy was shot four times in the chest and arms and four more times in the head.
Four of the wounds suffered from the gun have been deemed as fatal, including three shots fired in Joy's head and one in Joy's chest.
Susan May and Jason Joy were reportedly in a prior relationship.
May remains in the Lawrence County Jail at this time.
