(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The city of Bloomington is ending all relations with insurance group, Hylant Insurance Group following a reported racially-charged email from the company’s vice-president.
The vice-president has since vacated the position after sending the message through his company's email account.
The email sent by Denton "Denny" Flahualt, reportedly depicted images of President Barack Obama urinating on a map of the United States as well as images comparing the president to Adolf Hitler.
According to Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan, the Hylant group acts as a middle-man between insurance carriers.
Kruzan says that "the company's lack of direct ownership of the issue requires that the city act in a way that makes it clear that we expect more from companies with whom we're doing business."
