(BLOOMFIELD, IN) - A 27-year-old truck driver from Magnolia, Kentucky suffered minor injuries during a wreck that slowed traffic on State Road 54 in Greene County for several hours.
James Wilcox was taken by ambulance to a Greene County hospital after the semi truck hualing liquid asphalt that he was driving ran off of the road and flipped over numerous times, spilling more than 1,000 gallons of the liquid asphalt in the rural Bloomfield area in which the incident occured in.
Wilcox stated that he was unable to turn his semi along with the bend in the road, causing it to leave the roadway and eventually roll over.
The 2001 Freight-liner semi-tanker hauling was holding approximately 5,900 gallons of hot liquid asphalt.
James Wilcox suffered minor bleeding to his head.
