(LINTON, IN) - Seven people were arrested by the Linton Police Department and the Greene County Drug Task Force following a drug sting operation.
The individuals were taken into custody late Monday and early Tuesday and are being held in the Greene County Jail without bond on the following preliminary drug-related charges.
31-year-old Alvis B. Shacklett, 45-year-old Sheila A. Kaiser, 27-year-old Nathan P. Michael, 35-year-old Steven E. Strange, 26-year-old Zane Gennicks, 31-year-old Shad L. Robling and 55-year-old Sheryl L. Michael were the seven charged following the sting.
The charges are related to the possession and or distribution of marijuana, hash oil, narcotics or a schedule II substance.
Linton Police Department Detective Duane Collenbaugh stated the arrests came as a result of an ongoing investigation in which officers had several suspects under surveillance.
