(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Bloomington Police are investigating the death of a 60-year-old man who fell to his death from his third-floor apartment balcony on Monday.
Bloomington Police Department Sergeant Jeff Canada, says "all indications are this is an accidental situation."
The man named as Richard McCandless, died from blunt force trauma to the head sustained from the fall.
Early reports indicate no sign of foul play however, blood and urine will be drawn for a toxicology report.
An external examination will also be conducted.
Police were called to the scene Monday afternoon at around 3:09PM from a resident of the apartment complex, reporting a man lying in the grass that appeared to not be breathing.
McCandless kept residence at the Hunter Ridge Apartment during his work week, and also lived in Ohio.
