Police: Prime Suspect In Sexual Assualt Questioned

(BEDFORD, IN) - Indiana University Police Department is hoping to make an arrest in connection with a sexual assault of a 21-year-old male Indiana University student within the next two weeks.

Captain Jerry Minger says that the department is hopes to file charges in the case of the student who was sexually assaulted in a car parked on campus.

The assault occurred Monday night on October 12th in a parking lot located on the Indiana University Bloomington campus.

The victim stated that at around 4:00AM he became separated from his friends on Lincoln Street while walking back to their apartment.

While in the vehicle he continued to go in and out of consciousness and could not remember parts of the incident.

Minger notes the main suspect has been cooperative in talking with police.

The suspect matched the victim's description of the man.

Police plan on speaking to both the suspect and the victim once again before the charges are filed.
