(BEDFORD, IN) - A 69-year-old Bedford woman dodged serious injury Tuesday evening while pushing a cart through the Bedford Wal-Mart parking lot.
The woman was reportedly pushing her cart through the lot when 79-year-old Floyd W. Ball backed his car through a sign pole, ran into the woman's cart causing the cart to spin and knock the woman down, then came crashing into another parked car, pushing that car into another parked car.
The driver informed police that he pushed on the gas too much, causing the car to over-accelerate.
The woman pushing the cart suffered minor cuts to her arm but denied any medical attention at the scene.
The driver of the car was listed as being at fault for unsafe backing.
