(BEDFORD, IN) - The license of a Bedford Insurance agent has been suspended.
According to the Indiana Department of Insurance, Courtney Gibson, who runs Insurance Network at 1108 Fifth St, was suspended for misappropriating clients' funds.
The Department of Insurance says its investigated a total of "nine complaints from customers of Insurance Network who have paid for insurance premiums in full, only to find that these payments were not remitted to the insurance companies, in some cases, this has resulted in lapse of coverage for customers."
Gibson took over the insurance company when the license of her mother, Karen Veen, was permanently removed in December of 2008 also the result of misappropriated funds from clients according to the insurance department.
