(UNDATED) - A mechanical hampster, the latest barbie dolls and stylish boots are all disappearing from store shelves as holiday shoppers start to get serious.
But you shouldn't confuse that with the days of "tickle me elmo."
Indiana Retail Council Director of Office Operations Nicole Upano says the empty shelves could be from stores that are worried about ordering too much and are keeping their inventories thin.
As a result, with about a month to go until Christmas, toys are already hard to find.
