(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Department of Transportation is threatening to withhold millions of dollars for all local transportation projects in Monroe County until the local transportation planning group puts an I-69 land purchase in their plan.
The Herald-Times reports INDOT includes the purchase of a house along the proposed I-69 corridor in the state plan while it's not included in the local plan.
State and local transportation improvement plans must match for the state to allocate federal funds for the projects.
